WindowINK ("we", "our", or "us"), provided by Desland Inc, builds digital signage software and companion applications designed to help businesses manage their own displays simply and securely.

Our core philosophy is simple: your business data belongs to you. WindowINK is built without mandatory cloud subscriptions, third-party advertising tracking, or data brokering. This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you use the WindowINK mobile application and website, and why certain device permissions are required.

2. Information Handled by WindowINK

WindowINK operates primarily on a direct, decentralized model between your mobile device and your WindowINK digital sign hardware.

Signboard Content & Media: Text, menu items, price lists, hours of operation, and images or logos you upload to create digital signboards are stored locally on your device and transmitted directly to your configured WindowINK display hardware.
Network & Hardware Connection Settings: IP addresses, hostnames, and Wi-Fi network credentials (SSID and passcodes) entered when provisioning hardware are used exclusively to connect your mobile device to your display hardware over your local network.
Website Contact Submissions: If you contact us through our website, we collect the name, email, phone number, and message text you provide so we can respond to your inquiries.

3. Android Mobile Application Permissions

To discover, pair with, and configure digital signboards, the WindowINK mobile application requests specific device permissions. We strictly adhere to minimal-privilege principles:

Permission	Purpose & Scope
Bluetooth & Nearby Devices `(BLUETOOTH_SCAN, BLUETOOTH_CONNECT)`	Used solely to discover and pair with nearby WindowINK digital sign hardware to transmit initial setup and Wi-Fi parameters. Bluetooth scanning is tagged with the Android `neverForLocation` attribute and is never used to track your physical location.
Location `(ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION)`	On certain Android versions (Android 11 and earlier), the Android operating system requires location permission for Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) scanning and Wi-Fi network detection. WindowINK does not collect, track, store, or transmit your GPS or geographical location.
Local Storage & Filesystem	Allows you to save, import, and export slide designs, pricing spreadsheets, and image attachments locally on your device for display on your signs.
Biometric Authentication `(USE_BIOMETRIC)`	Used optionally to secure and lock access to the WindowINK app on your device using Android BiometricPrompt. Biometric data is evaluated entirely within your device's secure hardware enclave and is never accessed, stored, or sent to any server.
Network & Internet Access	Enables synchronization of signboard schedules, templates, and operating hours between your mobile device and your local display hardware.

4. Data Sharing & Third-Party Services

We believe in complete transparency:

No Third-Party Analytics or Trackers: We do not embed third-party advertising SDKs, behavioral analytics trackers, or commercial profiling libraries into the WindowINK mobile application.
No Sale of Personal Data: We never sell, rent, or trade your business data, display content, or personal contact details to any third party.
Direct Device Communication: Content updates sync directly to your local hardware or your chosen private server.

5. Children's Privacy

WindowINK is a business utility and commercial display management tool. Our services and applications are not directed toward children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in applicable jurisdictions), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Data Security & Retention

All content you author in WindowINK is kept on your device storage and within your private display units. When using network synchronization, we recommend using secure WPA2/WPA3 Wi-Fi environments or secure HTTPS endpoints. Inquiries sent via the website contact form are retained only as long as necessary to address your service or sales requests.
